Overview
In spite of publicised benefits, inverted data is not routinely generated. Inversion of seismic data to Acoustic Impedance (AI) is seen as a specialist activity. To overcome this obstacle this algorithm provides a quick, easy to use and stable method which can be routinely included in the exploration geoscientist’s workflow. It performs significantly better than traditional fast track methods.

Features
SCI provides a set of customisable charts and a seismic view window. Both are updated in real time allowing the geoscientist to quickly determine the parameters for generating an optimum operator. Using seismic directly from the Petrel software the analysis can be performed rapidly. The saved SCI operator can be applied to the input seismic volume via the SCI process or the Workflow Manager.
