Overview
PostDeGhost is a software package that removes the ghost arrival from post-stack data, ideal for improving legacy seismic and matching broadband data quality at a fraction of the cost.
Specifications
  • Capable of producing comparable results to broadband acquired data.
  • Seismic resolution can be greatly improved, as high amplitude multi-lobed are reduced to single peaks, and will no longer obscure finer, lower amplitude reflectors – this can really boost the impact of other spectral shaping, resolution improving techniques such as ARK CLS Seismic Spectral Blueing or Frequency Shaping.
  • Unlike other deghosting techniques, PostDeGhost works entirely in the post-stack domain, so can be used to improve legacy seismic where pre-stack data might not be available.
  • Useful to estimate the potential impact of a whole pre-stack re-processing project – before making a such huge investment.
Features
The workflow is data driven and contains QC steps at every stage, allowing the user to account fully for notch diversity, phase correction and amplitude of the notch in their operator design.
