Import surface networks in the Petrel platform
Network Analysis allows you to import network structure, static and dynamic node/branch properties in the Petrel platform, keep them in the Petrel project, and use for network visualization and analysis. The plug-in supports network models created in the PIPESIM or ECLIPSE simulator keyword format. In ECLIPSE Network format, dynamic changes in topology will also be kept in the project.
-
Display dynamic behavior of network nodes/branches
The plug-in displays node and branch property changes with time, directly on the network scheme in the map window. Select nodes and parameters (pressure, rate, etc.) to observe changes during the production time. In combination with the ability to track upstream/downstream junctions for any selected node in data plotting, this makes network performance analysis easy and transparent.
-
Support of complex network topologies
The plug-in supports import of networks with any level of size and complexity (from simple ECLIPSE Network to complex PIPESIM models), making behavior of any network transparent for reservoir and production engineers. Rich interface and wide set of network visualization settings allow flexibility in analysis of integrated models (ECLIPSE Network, IAM software, and INTERSECT-to-PIPESIM coupling).
-
Display network property profile along flowpath
The Property Profiles visualization feature allows any network node/branch property to be displayed in a "profile" view (property value versus distance along the flowpath), either between selected nodes or from a selected node to a corresponding network sink. The profile is built for current timestep and can be played with time to see dates and place of abnormal change in pressure/flow.
