Merge and transfer 2D interpretations between 2D lines.
The Interpretation Merger allows the users to merge and transfer 2D seismic interpretation between 2D seismic lines in the project. The user can specify a tolerance between the source and the target 2D lines, the plugin will then use this tolerance and determines the closest points to merge the interpretation to on the target line.
Easily merge interoretations between 2D seismic lines.
This Petrel plug-in provides friendly user interfaces to select and merge 2D seismic interpretation between seismic 2D lines with flexible tolerance control. Using mapping tables between original and target 2D lines, the plugin allows mass interpretation merging capabilities, the plug-in then calculates the closest points on the target lines and merges the interpretation accordingly.
Very quick and easy to use with flexible parameters.
The plugin can merge/transfer intepretations from sinlge or multiple horizons between 2D lines within the same survey or between different surveys. Original and target lines mapping can either be done automatically or using Excel mapping tables.
Stores merged interpretation in the same or new horizon
If there are tolerances among lines, the interpretations will be merged to the closest (projected) points.

Using the Interpretation Merger
This video answers three questions about this plug-in. 1. What does it do? 2. Where can we find the plug-in after installation in Petrel? 3. How do we use it?
Interpretation Merger provides an interface for calculating distances from a reference well or polygon to every well loaded in the project. These distances are stored as point well data that can be used for display alongside other data items in Petrel windows. This information is very useful when working in intersection.
Has to have Petrel already installed for usage.
Calculate the fixed distance between an object (well or polygon) and all other wells in project. Choice to calculate the distance from either the Well Head, Total Depth, or a specified Measured Depth of the well. Ability to override display elevation of the points created for better visualization. Calculation of direction azimuth from the reference well for spatial location of project wells.
