WellEventAnalysis is a quality control tool for well production data and well completions. It provides visualization capabilities of the historical data (e.g., well production rates and pressures), well completions and 3D reservoir properties on a single time scale. It also helps to identify and correct inconsistent well data.
  • Visualization of well events, 3D static and dynamic properties around the well
  • Visualization of oil, water and gas rates
  • Visualization of well BHP and THP
  • Identification and correction of wells with incorrect deviation surveys
  • Identification and correction of inconsistent casing and completions
  • Identification and correction of wells that have production but do not have perforations

The WellEventAnalysis plug-in consists of two main modules:

  • The Well Event Analysis window provides capabilities for simultaneously visualizing well-related data from multiple sources across time, such as observed well production rates and pressures, 3D static or dynamic reservoir properties around the well, and dates and depth intervals of perforations and stimulations.
  • The Completions and Observed data check makes it easy to find errors in well data, e.g. comparison of measured depth from well’s trajectory with the depth of well completions, validation of casing, verification of historical observed data and perforations.
Additional Information
  • The plug-in requires Petrel RE or Combined core license on maintenance.
  • Starting from the 2020.3 version WellEventAnalysis is exclusively distributed as part of RE Extension Suite.
