The Blueback Seismic Data Management Connector allows user to bulk-import seismic scanned in SDM. The import process requires minimal manual interaction given scanning parameters, survey and category have been specified in SDM. Existing SEG-Y instances can be validated against the SDM database to quickly identify errors with trace headers and CRS and review vintage and survey names.
  • Import 2D and 3D poststack SEG-Y files scanned with SDM
  • Import ZGY files scanned with SDM
  • The import process is simplified as trace header byte positions and formats are read from the SDM database and do not need to be manually specified
  • The files are imported using the coordinate system, survey and vintage specified in SDM
  • Cross check the SEG-Y files already imported into Petrel with the information from the SDM database
  • Identify differences in trace headers, byte positions, coordinate systems, surveys and vintages
  • Quickly identify seismic incorrectly imported into the Petrel project
  • Import file collections with poststack SEG-Y and ZGY files scanned with Blueback Seismic Data Management (SDM) into Petrel.
  • The seismic is automatically imported using the scan settings, survey and vintage from SDM.
  • Lookup the SEG-Y seismic from the Petrel project in the SDM database, compare loading parameters, surveys, vintages and original coordinate systems and identify loading errors.
