Core Image Processor
After processing your core box images, you will be able to display the images in the Petrel platform. Whether you want to display them alongside well logs and borehole image data, or in 3D, the processor minmizes the time and effort required to format and import the data.
Raw Core Box Photographs
After pointing the plug-in to the location of the core box photos, in a few simple steps, the entire directory of photos will be cropped and each section of core will be depth referenced and ready to load into the Petrel platform. The plug-in will accept many box configurations and has the ability to perform simple rotations and flips on the photos prior to processing, if necessary.
Individual Cropped Core Images
Any, or all, of the 24 resulting processed images can be inspected. Fine tuning of the resulting images can be performed within the tool. Once the user is satisfied with the results, they have the option of loading them directly into their Petrel project, saving the individual files or both. Hundreds of photos can be processed in just minutes.

Tool will automatically process an entire well of core photos if present in the same directory
Resulting cropped photos automatically include a depth reference in the file name
User controlled file name outputs
Tool processes multiple image files, one well at a time
Crop hundreds of metres of core photos in minutes
Features
Automatic detection of "core" from the surrounding box
Ability to save cropped images in multiple image formats
Automatically load resulting images into the Petrel platform (one click)
