Time-varying deconvolution using Gabor Transform
This module is a time-varying deconvolution, whose operator adapts to the characteristics of the data captured by a time-overlapped set of windows. Generally seismic data represents time-varying phenomena like various noises, non-stationary isolated "bright” events and loss of bandwidth with time.By applying this module, interpreter can achieve a better subsurface image of the continuous events.
Comparison window for Time Variant Spectral Whitening
On application of time variant spectral whitening, events in the seismic data volume appears more sharply defined and less affected by the low frequency components, a typical characteristic of conventional seismic data. Finer details in the data get highlighted and facilitate the interpreter to pinpoint the minute details of seismic events.
Cosmetic Enhancement by Loop Reconvolution
This application attempts to correct the frequency attenuation of the seismic traces. It can be applied at a very finer level or at a coarser scale, depending on the amount of frequency increment defined by the user. This provides better control to the user based on data specific requirements. It adjusts the amplitude spectrum of the input trace to correct the attenuation effect.
Generation & viewing of amplitude v/s frequency spectrum.
This plug-in provides the additional utility of generating & viewing of the amplitude vs. frequency spectrum of an input cube, an in-line or X-line to validate the bandwidth of the input & processed cubes. The spectrum is an actual representation of the amplitude & frequency content of seismic data. This plug-in being an experimental tool, amplitude spectrum is an ideal combination for comparison.
Show Me Video
The Video is demonstrating the steps for the processing using different algorithms
This tool is a logical collection of three signal processing algorithms and one related utility (Seismic Resampling). In the video the process starts with Gabor deconvolution followed by the Time variant spectral whitening and ends with the Cosmetic enhancement.

Overview
Imaging of thin beds, when approaching the limits of seismic resolution is a problem. This tool tried to address the limitation on interpretability of the seismic data at thin bed level by enhancing the seismic resolution in time- frequency domain. It exploits the limit of resolution in the time-frequency spectrum to achieve the unconventional high resolution seismic and highlight the events.
Specifications
Bandwidth extension tool enhances the image resolution by broadening the frequency band in time-frequency domain
Standard input should be post stack seismic SEGY file. Algorithms can be applied on cube, inline or xline
This application is employing time-varying deconvolution, sparse spike resolution enhancement and attenuation correction methods
It highlights seismic events; enhance the continuation of reflectors by reducing attenuation effect and helps in thin bed analysis
It facilitates the user with the functionality of Resampling the data by decreasing the sample interval
The plug-in also consists of a feature for amplitude spectrum generation.
Features
This application facilitates the interpreter with three mutually complementary algorithms, with the facility of resampling the data. All algorithms are featured with the flexibility to shuffle the parameter values. Algorithms can be applied individually or in a combination. Additionally the feature of generating amplitude spectrum is provided.
