The Ocean Vision

Open – Ocean is open, meaning that it is sold to anyone who would like to use the development environment, for whatever purpose, and they get exactly the same version of Ocean as the Schlumberger users of Ocean.

Stable – Developer efficiency is a core target for Ocean. We want our users to be able to focus on the science, and remove , or at least reduce to a minimum the time wasted in porting to new versions of the framework. Ocean consequently comes with a stability promise.

Modern – Microsoft .NET and C#, a productive environment

Extensible – Allows our clients (the software developers) to extend mainstream workflows with proprietary IP. Focus on the added value, not the infrastructure
